Almeida – 1957 Whole House Renovation

She had always dreamed of remodeling her home to create a haven for her children
and grandchildren, but the time was never right. After her own step-father’s death,
the homeowner’s husband also passed away unexpectedly, and she found herself
helping her mother find a new home while sorting through her own grief. Helping
her mother on the journey to a new home was Dan Swank, who is a member of her
mother’s church and owner of Dancraft Construction. After witnessing the time
and attention he showed her mother, she knew the right time had come, and she’d
found the right guy for the job.
Dan spent time with the homeowner, uncovering the hopes and dreams she had built over the
years — A wide open playroom, fit for games and playtime for grandkids. A
comfy spot to sip coffee while catching up on the morning news. A cozy hideaway
where her grandkids could settle down with a good book. Taking in all these
details, Dan and architect David Flannery set out design the home of her
dreams. The job was complete within three months on a limited budget, creating
a place of peace and comfort, and helping launch a new chapter in her life,
creating new memories with those closest to her heart.
