Our History
Dancraft Construction, Inc. was recognized by the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, NARI, in the 1998 Contractor of the Year Competition.
Dancraft Construction was formed by Dan L. Swank in 1974. Dancraft started with an emphasis on Exterior Home Improvements and Kitchen Remodeling. The name “Dancraft” was an intentional combination of the first name of our founder, “Dan”, with the second part of the name coming from “craftsmanship.”
Our goals at Dancraft were to:
- Let our clients know that Dan was putting his personal name, reputation, and “stamp of approval” on how he and his staff treat them. We take a personal interest in each customer and the success of each project. A Dancraft client is never just a number to us!
- Show that craftsmanship means that our method of construction is not just what’s needed to meet a building code. It is part of an honorable profession of trained craftsmen, who take pride in the work they produce. We have trained and honed our skills, and understand that we are never finished refining those skills.
- Help our team remember that “craft” is more than the physical process of construction, it includes our sense of design and style, as well as our client-focused process that ensures an excellent experience.
Dancraft Construction, under the same owner, was incorporated 1995 with an emphasis on the Design and Building of Residential Room Additions, Whole House Remodels, Kitchen Renovation, Basement Finishing and Bathroom Remodeling.
After numerous requests over the years from dozens of past customers, Dancraft added Insurance Restoration to our list of services in 2011. This service area allows us to use our expertise in the field of home remodeling to bring peace of mind to those going through the difficult process of recovering from fire, smoke, storm or water damage, burglaries and vandalism.
Over the years, Dancraft has taken hundreds of houses and transformed them into dream homes. We believe our long history speaks volumes for our reputation, the quality of our work, and the level of trust our customers continue to place in us.
